Abouzeidabad Caravanserai in Aran-bidgol
Caravanserais were built as a resting place for caravans on the main roads for travelers and animals to rest on their journey in the past. At the Safavid era, with the order of Shah Abbas Safavi, 999 caravansaries were built on the main roads of Iran. Abouzeidabad Caravanserai in Aran-bidgol with a square plan is one of the Safavid era caravanserais, which is based on the four-door porch and located in the city of Abouzeidabad. The caravanserai was very important because it’s on the main roads of Kashan, Yazd and Isfahan. The entrance to Abouzeidabad Caravanserai is different from other caravansaries of the same age as it is rarely seen in other caravanserais. Abouzeidabad Caravanserai is built on one floor and with an area about 2,200 square meters with 29 chambers, 8 towers, 4 stables, oven and a guest room. An interesting point at Abouzeidabad Caravanserai is the access way to the stables of the complex from all four sides. The caravanserai encounters damages during the years and was repaired by Haj Maand Ali Muhammad Kashani in the past. Abouzeidabad Caravanserai is located in the city of Abouzeidabad and in Dolat Square. The caravanserai is now ready to host foreign and Iranian guests as the Abrooz Hotel.
